Guided Medications
Let’s face it, life can get a little overwhelming at times. When this happens it is important to have an outlet that quiets your mind, centers your thoughts and brings you back to earth with a smile.
The following meditation audios are perfect to zen out too at different times of the day. When you wake up, during the day and/or before sleep...
Meditation is a medicine and can become seriously addictive with some serious positive side effects. Follow these simple suggestions and you’ll be on your way to a better you.
1. Find a quiet, peaceful space. Establish an area where you can be alone and uninterrupted. This can be in your home or outside.
2. Get comfortable. Wear comfy clothing, drink some water, sit on a pillow, and light a candle or some incense.
3. Sit down/ lay down and dig in. A common meditation posture is seated with your legs crossed, back straight, and hands resting gently on your lap. This is the recommended position as it opens your heart and airways and lets your lower body relax. The important thing here is to just be comfortable.
4. Close your eyes and begin by taking 20 slow, deep breaths. Don't suck your stomach in, sit naturally and allow your stomach to naturally move in and out. Try inhaling for a count of 6, holding for a count of 2, and exhaling for 6. Giving your mind this simple task to focus on will help clear your head.
5. Choose a guided meditation from this folder or simply meditate on your own and see what comes to you.
6. Set a routine. Meditating regularly helps you get comfortable in the practice. Book it in just like you lock in a shift at work, or a gym class, or a meeting. Meditating first thing in the morning or right before you go to bed is easiest.
7. If you're a beginner, try once a week and work your way up to what you feel comfortable with. Try it when you've had a bad day, or need to find an answer to something that is niggling at you, or even to enter the day in a positive mood...
These will be updated weekly with new ones to try out. Enjoy.
